Makkah Clock Royal Tower (King Abdul Aziz Endowment, Ajyad Street, Mecca 24231) – built in 2012, this hotel can only be described in superlatives: the tallest hotel, the largest indoor space (1.6 million square meters for the total project), and one of the tallest buildings in the world. Soaring above the clock is a beautiful glass dome that houses a lunar research center and cosmology center with some of the biggest telescopes in the world.
